If you are interested in socialising in the North West, there are 3 Durga Pujos that come to mind immediately. Firstly there is the one at Liverpool, probably the largest - http://www.liverpoolpuja.com/home.htm. This is organised by the Bengali Association of Merseyside and North of England. Then there is the one in Manchester - http://www.mcrdurgapuja.com, organised by the Greater Manchester Bengali Hindu Cultural Association. Lastly, there is the one in RVM UK Centre Bolton - http://www.rvmukcentre.com. This is more 'ghoroa', though getting busier every year. I tend to help out in the kitchen here and it is great fun! We also have a monthly prayer meeting invariably on the last Sunday of the month starting at 5pm. This is often followed by a small cultural program and 'bhog prosad'.
