For all those who like Asian music, art and - of course - Asian food, this year's London Mela is sure to prove a treat. Hailed as the biggest celebration of Asian culture, lifestyle and vibes outside the Indian sub-continent, the London Mela in Ealing, north west London last year attracted a record 55,000-strong crowd. And this year, organisers expect to smash that record. The festival, which is completely free of charge, takes place on Sunday, August 16, at Gunnersbury Park, W3. Anyone who's been to the London Mela before will already know that there will be plenty of activities and attractions for all ages. For those who've not had the pleasure of attending Mela before, here are just some of the things to look forward to. For those amongst us who would like to go in a group, we have arranged a volunteer to become the contact point for the whole group. All the information about meetup time and location and contact details are given here - http://indiansinlondon.net/index.php?/Events/London-Mela-2009.html Note: If the site requires you to login, you can do so in 2 seconds using facebook connect option.
