Tooting Durga Puja CELEBRATING SILVER JUBILEE - 2011 “Ya Devi Sarvabhooteshu Matriroopena Sangsthita, Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namaha!” Dear Sisters & Brothers, Friends and Families We hope you are all fine by the blessing of Ma Durga and all our best warm wishes.It has been a while since we last met and it’s about time we meet again and treasure the times we spent together at Tooting Durga Puja! By Ma Durga’s grace, we are now at the doorstep of celebrating our 25th year of success in 2011! From 2 October 2011 to 6 October 2011, we are expecting all of you from all over London as well as other parts of UK such as Surrey, Kent, Essex and even Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. During the 5 (+ 1 day - 26 October 2011 - Diwali/Kalipuja) days of festivities we usually have the good fortune to have you, your friends and families, who's presence and cooperation is growing every year. To welcome such a huge and wonderful ever growing volume of people, we had no other choice but to shift from our usual venue which was Sivayogam Muthumariyamman Temple Hall. Our new venue is called "Jasmins Banqueting Hall ." This air-conditioned state-of-the-art venue comes with all the necessary facilities including in-house kitchen, dedicate food serving area, a dais – providing a dignified occupancy for the worship and other cultural events. It is a large venue with plenty of space for our visitors to comfortably feel home! The beauty of this shift of venue is that it is situated right next to our previous venue even sharing the same and bigger car park. Therefore, for all our visitors, devotees and sponsors, the location of TDP remains unchanged in terms of travel distance and other surrounding elements. To add an extra spark to our Silver Jubilee celebrations this year, along with other exciting events , we are proud to present you all a brand new Ma Durga idol made of fibre glass, created by the finest artisans and craftsmen from the heart of Kolkata, India.
